Fragrance Direct from the Net
Filed under FragranceMay 7Most pop stars or celebrities have attempted to make their own fragrances, some have been successful and others have disappeared into the black hole of one hit wonders. These days it’s surprising if a pop star hasn’t attempted to launch their own fragrance. When it comes down to it, the product is often un-memorable and we all go back to a favourite brand. However, I can make a few exceptions.
Return Policies
In addition to checking reviews, you’ll also want to be aware of a return policy when purchasing anything online. Despite the results any particular product provides for others, your experience may be completely different. If you need to return a product for any reason, knowing the policies and instructions ahead of time can lessen the time and effort it takes to receive a refund or replacement for your purchase. Also check for contact information, preferably by email and telephone. Should the need arise, you’ll want to make sure you can contact someone directly with questions or concerns.
I would recommend going down the path of checking reviews, ratings and retun policies on all products not just fragrances.
Unforgivable by Sean John: At first I was very wary at buying the scent because of it’s a little on the expensive side. You see, most celebrity fragrances carry a low price tag but this was quite expensive reaching the levels of the Armani’s and Versace’s. Anyway I thought it deserved a try and I wasn’t disappointed. Unforgivable is probably best for the colder, wintry periods rather than warm summer days. With a great citrus scent that gives warmth and a great dry down time that last throughout the day I was really impressed. The first scent that comes through is a lemon, fruity explosion that is strong but doesn’t cross the line to being too overpowering like some fragrances can be. This scent gets all the balances right and best of all it smells absolutely fantastic.

Fragrance for your Memory
There is a strong connection between fragrances and memory. For instance, we may be somewhere shopping and smell something from a nearby bakery that reminds us of something our Mother made for us when we where little – like cake, puddings or even chocolate brownies and scones. Then, we find a perfume or lotion that smells like chocolate and raspberries and instantly feel at home with that fragrance. The same goes for hundreds of other scents out there that connects us with warm, positive memories – such as the smell of a husband’s or boyfriend’s cologne on their clothes, the smell of particular holidays such as Christmas tree leaves which connect us to Christmas, the smell of rain or snow, and so on. Connecting ourselves to these memories through easily obtainable fragrances makes us happy.
In addition perfume can also make us feel desirable. Certain scents can attract the opposite sex and therefore when most people splash on their favourite perfume they want it to be a magnet for the opposite sex and gives them an extra boost of confidence.
There are several stores online to buy perfume. Online perfume shops avery large selection and guarantee any item that you are looking for. Searching for theright perfume and the best deals is so much easier to do online. You can search by category, brand and so on. Certain stores even provide professional tips on how to wearfragrances and what to wear for free to all visitors.

Parfums Gres & Fashion and Perfumes
Filed under PerfumeFeb 8It is notable that there are only a few women who successfully get the limelight in the world of fashion design. However, those few women are truly worthwhile and are immensely and significantly adored by the fashion world. Germaine Emilie Krebs is one of them. Born in Paris, France in 1903, Krebs formed her own fashion company called Gres in her home city in 1942.
Parfums Gres is the specific perfume house that is associated and formed by Germaine Emilie Krebs. The fragrance maker is still actively developing, manufacturing and distributing its famous perfumebrands, though having been relocated from France to Switzerland. The brand’s most popular perfume names include Folie Douce, Caline Night, Cabotine, Caline and Cabaret.
Alex Couture was the name of the first ever fashion house put up by Madame Gres. That was in 1932. After co-venturing with a friend, she agreed to modify the structure of her maiden business and a year after, the name was changed to Alex Barton.
As a designer, Madame Gres has proven her worth and has natural knack for making beautiful clothes. The label’s clothing for women has been known all over the world for having what it seems like magical power that transforms ordinary looking women into instant celebrities.
The name Gres was derived from Madame Gres’ husband. The name was an anagram of her husbands’ alias and first name. The husband was Serge Czerefkov, who was a Russian painter. He left Madame Gres in 1937 and left for French Polynesia, a French colony. Since then, Mr. Czerefkov never came back.
Among the most high profile clients of Gres include Marlene Dietrich, Jacqueline Kennedy, the Duchess of Windsor and Greta Garbo. Consumers and fashion reviews established that this fashion brand was sophisticated and partly classical, prompting many clients to celebrate owning a Gres.
The brand was forced to include a ready-to-wear clothing line at their stores due to high demand. Also, because the industry calls and demand has been steadily rising, the brand soon was made truly popular and noteworthy. The next time you get hold of a Gres product, whether perfume or clothes, do not forget the woman behind the brand.
